Church Ministries

Worship• The Worship Ministry Team works in conjunction with the Pastor,
and the Minister of Music, and each week is prayerfully responsible for ensuring that all aspects of the service are in place. The team meets monthly to evaluate and adjust where necessary all worship services. It is responsible for securing ushers, and acolytes.
Further, it ensures that the paraments are in place at the altar.

Youth
•To
train, develop, and nurture children into disciples of
Christ. The Youth Ministry, as the na me implies, focuses
on ministry to our youth. A very holistic approach is taken, which
involves biblical study, teaching, and time for
fun and fellowship in an environment that allows our youth to be
themselves.This ministry team recognizes the importance of our youth having a biblical compass to guide them in their daily lives and as such, all programs and events are planned with this in mind. Bro. Cleve Lawrence, Youth Director |
Church School• The Sunday School supports the biblical teachings from the pulpit. It creates further opportunity for biblical training and learning in
an environment that allows for open discussion and positive
interaction between participants. Able, committed teachers lead classes for all ages each week.
To teach the word of GOD in a loving, and nurturing environment that encourage students of all ages to learn, and understand the relevance of
God's word in our daily lives, and that both teachers and students will be empowered by GOD, Spiritually, Mentally, and Physically to be effective workers in the building of
God's Kingdom. |
Communication• Into its fourth year of existence, The Redan
UMC Communication Ministry strives to keep lay and clergy informed as to the ministries needs, and facts important to the ADOX District, and The North Georgia United Methodist Conference. Our goal is two-fold: to reach unchurched
persons with a message of hope from the United Methodist Church;
and to re-engage people who may have left the United Methodist
Church (or any denomination) who just might have a desire to

| PSPR• The Pastor-Staff-Parish-Relations Ministry serves as a bridge between the clergy and the laity. It has the responsibility of consulting with both the Pastor, and the congregation, on issues or concerns that impact the effectiveness of the ministry of the church. This team also has the ongoing responsibility of ensuring that the Pastor and all church staff are adequately, and sufficiently equipped to perform their duties at the highest level. |
UMM•
The Redan United Methodist Men’s Ministry exists for the sole purpose of allowing God to use us as
instrum ents to aid his purpose within the Redan congregation and beyond. We provide support in leadership roles, provide labor and financial support for special projects, and minister to our congregation through song and through other aspects of our worship service.

Trustees
•The Trustees Ministry Team serves in the capacity of chief stewards for the property, equipment, and all assets of the church. This devoted team continually seeks to ensure the proper maintenances, upkeep and appearance of our facilities so that activities on our campus can be conducted in a safe, and pleasant environment.Bro. Outreach/Mission/Witness/Nurturing• Covers various areas of Christian
service to the community. Thursday evenings, GED classes prepare individuals to become better equipped for success in their endeavors. Also, on a monthly basis, grocery baskets are prepared from The Redan Food Pantry to assist needy families within our immediate community.

Finance• The primary mission of the Finance Committee is to monitor fiscal activities. In addition, it is to consult with the pastor, and ministries to make recommendations to the Admin Council for fiscal policy changes, and prepare annual budgets, and occasional budget amendments for the consideration of the Admin Council. The Finance Committee will oversee, as needed the ministries finances such as bank accounts, methods of disbursement, etc., as well as obtain an independent annual audit of our financial affairs by a certified public accountant, as the Finance Committee shall be considered our audit committee.The committee will meet no less than once per month, but may set more frequent meeting. Meetings will be in-person. All meetings must be noticed to the committee members at least 3 days in advance. Bro. Delroy Campbell, Chairperson |
